DBC-BIF-NINC Image Editing Workshop: July 15, 2021
The Dynamic Brain Circuits (DBC) cluster, the UBC Bioimaging Facility (BIF), and the NeuroImaging and Neurocomputation Centre (NINC) have collaborated together to host a virtual zoom workshop on image editing using ImageJ/Fiji. Image editing has become a crucial part of modern research with fluency in open-source image editing software like Image/Fiji becoming a required skill for many scientists. This workshop was created with the hopes that it could provide participants with the introductory image editing skills necessary for conducting biomedical research.
This workshop is suitable for those who are starting to learn digital image editing and processing. The workshop covers guidelines for the appropriate use and manipulation of scientific digital images, Introduction to ImageJ/Fiji, what is an image, histogram, brightness and contrast adjustment, lookup tables. region of interest. Macro writing in ImageJ/Fiji.
