Spencer Smith Research Colloquium: April 16, 2021
The Djavad Mowafaghian Centre for Brain Health holds a weekly lecture series called the Neuroscience Research Colloquium (NRC). The Dynamic Brain Circuits Research Cluster hosted an NRC titled: “Multiphoton imaging across brain areas simultaneously to explore brain areas acting in concert with subcellular resolution.” which was presented by Dr. Spencer LaVeer Smith.
Dr. Smith’s research involves investigating neural circuitry in action using novel instrumentation. Half of his lab is neuroengineering new instrumentation for measuring and manipulating neural activity. The other half of his lab is using the technology to perform experiments and gain insights into how neural circuitry processes stimuli and drives adaptive behavior.
